Red Sox shake up bullpen after rough opening week
Boston’s relief pitching ranked 28th in ERA through the first six games, and the front office responded. The club optioned two relievers to Worcester and called up hard-throwing right-hander Marco Reyes from Triple-A. Manager Alex Cora told reporters he’s not panicking but wants “guys who can throw strikes.” Reyes posted a 1.82 ERA across 24 appearances in the International League last season. Maine legislature debates offshore wind moratorium
A bill to pause new offshore wind permits off the Maine coast cleared committee Tuesday on a narrow 7-6 vote. Lobstermen from Stonington and Vinalhaven testified that the proposed lease areas overlap with their most productive grounds. Providence restaurant Oar opens to packed crowds
Oar, the new seafood restaurant from chef James Mark on Atwells Avenue, drew two-hour waits on its opening weekend. The menu leans on Rhode Island quahogs, Narragansett Bay scallops, and whole grilled fish with local seaweed butter. Vermont’s spring ski season extends through late April
Killington and Stowe both announced they’ll stay open through April 26, a week longer than last year. Recent snowfall dumped 14 inches on the Green Mountains over the weekend, and overnight temperatures have kept the base deep enough for top-to-bottom skiing.
